Warranty

All products sold by Volterie are new, genuine and covered by the statutory Swiss warranty for defects. A Victorinox manufacturer's warranty may apply on top, depending on the product category.

Statutory warranty (2 years)

Under articles 197 to 210 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO), the seller is liable for defects in the goods sold for 2 years from delivery. In case of a defect, you may request repair, replacement, price reduction or termination of the contract. This warranty is exercised directly with us.

Victorinox manufacturer's warranty

In addition to the statutory warranty, Victorinox AG grants an international manufacturer's warranty depending on the category. Detailed terms are set by the manufacturer.

• Swiss Army Knives : Lifetime international warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Electronic components (USB memory, LED lighting): 2 years.
• Kitchen and professional knives : Lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship, subject to intended use.
• Victorinox watches : 3-year international warranty (movements and original components).
• Luggage and bags : 10-year limited international warranty against manufacturing defects.
• Cases and accessories : 2-year statutory warranty for defects.

How to claim the warranty

1. Email us at [email protected] with your order number, description of the defect and, if possible, a photo.
2. We send you the instructions (return to our Swiss address or shipment to the nearest Victorinox service centre, depending on the product).
3. The product is inspected. Initial return shipping is at your expense for a simple commercial return; if a defect is confirmed, we cover it.
4. After diagnosis, we get back to you with the proposed solution (repair, replacement or refund) within a maximum of 30 days.

Exclusions

The warranties do not cover damage resulting from improper use, unauthorised modification, lack of maintenance or normal wear (natural loss of blade sharpness, corrosion due to insufficient drying, etc.).
