Privacy policy

This notice explains how Volterie processes personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

Data controller

Data processed

• Order and delivery data: name, address, email, telephone, items and amounts.
• Messages sent to customer service and information required to handle the request.
• Technical and security data: IP address, session identifier, date, time, browser and logs required to protect the service.
• Volterie does not collect full card numbers, CVV, SMS codes or banking authentication codes. When hosted payment is activated, these details will be entered directly with the payment provider.

Purposes and legal grounds

Data is used to perform the sales contract, deliver products, answer requests, meet accounting and legal obligations, prevent abuse and secure the service. Processing is based on contract, legal obligations and legitimate interests in security and customer support.

Recipients

Data is disclosed only where necessary to hosting and security providers, Swiss Post, the future hosted payment provider, email providers and authorities where required by law.

Retention

Accounting and order records are kept for the legally required period, generally ten years. Customer-service messages are deleted after 24 months unless needed for an order or dispute. Sessions expire after 30 days; technical logs are retained only as long as required for security.

International processing

Some technical providers may process data outside Switzerland. In that case Volterie relies on a country recognised as adequate or suitable contractual safeguards under the FADP.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or delivery of your data, subject to statutory retention duties. Contact contact (at) volterie.com. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Security

Connections use HTTPS/TLS, session cookies are protected and administrative access is restricted. No transmission or storage system can provide absolute security.
