Product details
The EcoFlow 500W Alternator Charger turns a driving vehicle into a fast charge source for a portable power station, pulling surplus energy from the alternator while the engine runs. With up to 500 W of continuous output it refills a compatible unit roughly five times quicker than a 12 V cigarette lighter — about 1 kWh every 2.1 hours — and its live status can be monitored on the head unit through CarPlay and Android Auto. At 1.6 kg the housing stays compact enough for permanent mounting inside a van conversion or overland rig.
- Up to 500 W continuous output, adding about 1 kWh every 2.1 hours of driving — five times faster than a standard cigarette-lighter socket.
- CarPlay and Android Auto integration puts charging state, temperature and mode selection on the vehicle's screen without a phone in hand.
- Three modes: alternator charging into the power station, reverse charging from the power station back to the starter battery, and low-current battery maintenance.
- Gallium nitride switching keeps thermal losses low and holds the enclosure at 1.6 kg without oversized heat sinks.
- Under-voltage cut-off guards the starter battery so cranking capability is never compromised, and a 125 A inline fuse protects the full DC path from short circuits.
- Doubles as a jump starter and can extend a house-battery bank of up to 7.2 kWh when tied into a compatible portable power station.
